Labour could be ready for another election, according to a senior Union leader from Bracknell.

Unite The Union held their latest meeting last week, with Ann Black as their guest speaker.

Mrs Black is the former chair of the Labour party, and spoke at the meeting to speak about the success Jeremy Corbyn had in the general election.

Mike Adams, from the Unite Bracknell branch, spoke to Bracknell news and outlined the local Labour party's plans.

He said: "They're ready for another election. It could be weeks or months, but they're ready.

"They want to focus on the areas where Labour improved in the election and the places where voting was tight.

"It could be soon, or a couple of months away, they're ready for another election."

Also at the meeting was Paul Bidwell, who ran for the Labour party in the general election.

The meeting took place at Priestwood Community Centre, and is a bi-monthly event.

In the 2017 general election, the Labour Party made significant gains on the Conservative Party while failing to win more votes.
