RESIDENTS have been urged to stay on high alert following a spate of burglaries in Arborfield.
Four break ins took place between April 21 and May 14 in the picturesque village west of Wokingham, with properties on Valon, Venning and Hill roads targeted.
A 49 year-old man from Arborfield was arrested on 12 May, and a 44 year-old man from Finchampstead was arrested on 14 May.
Both were arrested on suspicion of burglary and have been released under investigation.
Detective Sergeant Steve Kania from Bracknell and Wokingham Local CID said: “We would continue to urge residents to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious behaviour in the community to police.
“Simple measures such as installing an alarm, keeping valuables out of sight and keeping doors and windows locked can also help to deter opportunistic offenders and prevent the risk of becoming a victim to burglary."
