RUMOURS surrounding the retail outlets to be built inside Bracknell's new shopping centre have been quashed.
On Sunday a map of The Lexicon's floor plan began to circulate on social media.
As well as the 26 shops and multi-screen Cineworld that have already been confirmed, the map depicted dozens of previously unannounced outlets.
Included on the floor plan was shoe shop Skechers, Danish knickknack store Tiger and high street fashion retailers Top Shop.
Sadly for the shopaholics of Bracknell, the names were merely entered as place holders by The Deck - The Lexicon's 'food and leisure quarter'.
Simon Russian, development manager at Legal and General on behalf of Bracknell Regeneration Partnership, said: “There are a number of maps in circulation that have been produced for The Lexicon, primarily for the lettings market, to give an idea of the shape, scope and size of the scheme.
" Different versions have included a raft of different retailers which are again indicative only.”
More shop names are due to be officially announced in the coming weeks.
