A PERVERT who worked for the Crown Prince of Dubai’s personal security team took a picture of a semi-naked woman in his bed and shared it around his warehouse colleagues, a judge heard.

Colin Crawford was caught by police after someone told the victim about Crawford’s crude act.

The pair had been out drinking heavily in early 2016 when Crawford took her back to his home and undressed her while she was asleep, posed her in a position of performing a sex act and then snapped a picture on his mobile.

The victim woke up, still half naked, in horror and then discovered Crawford’s T-shirt, which he had worn the night before, was still on the bed.

The 48-year-old was sentenced to 10 months imprisonment, after admitting a single count of voyeurism.

Prosecuting, Matthew Rawcliffe, told Reading Crown Court: “A substantial amount of alcohol was consumed.

“When she [the victim] woke up she was naked from the waist down.

“A week later she received a call [from someone else who knew the defendant].

“He had described a photo of her in a state of undress was being shown [by Crawford].”

Months after taking the picture, father-of-two Crawford bumped into the victim on a train and told her he would “see her in court”.

Mr Rawcliffe continued: “Passing lorry drivers who came through the warehouse were being shown the images.

Mr Rawcliffe said the victim "was concerned she was subjected to a physical sexual assault.”

Sarah Read, defending Crawford, revealed he spent 25 years in the security industry and once worked with “Dubai Royalty”.

His LinkedIn page states he worked as part of an in-house security team for the Crown Prince of Dubai in the 1990s.

Ms Read added: “He was married for 17 years but that ended in 2007.

“He started a relationship with a lady in 2007 until tragically she passed away in 2014. He has struggled with his grief.”

Crawford, of Lingwood, Bracknell, admitted a single count of voyeurism and was jailed for 10 months.

Passing sentence, Mrs Recorder Rhona Campbell said: “This is a disturbing and unpleasant offence.

“You have shown a callous disregard and a lack of empathy of how she would feel after you did what you did.”

Crawford was also put on the Sex Offenders’ Register and was given a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for 10 years.
