HOMES in Birch Hill have been evacuated this afternoon after police discovered explosives at a house in Juniper.
Police officers found the items earlier today during a search which followed a large blaze at the house around 2.30pm yesterday (Aug 31), and remain at the scene now.
Neighbouring properties have been evacuated as a precaution while Explosive Ordnance Disposal technicians visit the site to make the items safe.
A 25-year-old man from Bracknell was arrested yesterday (Aug 31) on suspicion of possession of ammunition without a certificate and is currently in police custody.
Anyone concerned or who needs more information can talk to officers at the scene or call the neighbourhood police team via 101.
