Sydney Gagliano got the same grades and will be heading to Cambridge to read music, while Matthew Hillman clinched his place at Oxford to study maths and computer science with A*A*AA grades and an A in his Extended Project.

Meanwhile, William Norman (AAA) and Zara Hickling (AAB) are both London-bound to read English at UCL and geography at King’s College London respectively.

96 students were entered for A-level and vocational exams this year.

Head of Sixth Form Elizabeth Combes was delighted to be celebrating the Year 13s' successes.

She added: "We are very proud of them and wish them every success and happiness in the future."

Headteacher Beverley Stevens said: "I want to pay tribute to those who have supported and prepared our students for this moment: teachers and parents.

"Staff have worked incredibly hard to ensure that students have been in a position to do their best; these results are cause for celebration for us all."
