CHARTERS School have marked a record-breaking set of A Level results this year with all of their 200 students making the grade.

The Sunningdale school had a 100 per cent pass rate in this year's exams, with 83 per cent passing with A* to C grades.

More than half of students achieved top A*-B grades in their subjects and four secured places at Oxbridge.

Co-Headteachers Richard Pilgrim and Martyn Parker said: "We would like to extend our warm congratulations to all our Sixth Form students who have received their examination results today.

"With 58.3% of the A-level entries graded A*, A or B, these are, by a significant margin, the best results in the school’s history. We hope that students, staff, parents and the local community will feel justifiably proud of Charters’ success."

Olimpia Morrison, director of Sixth Form, added: "Congratulations to all our Year 13 students, they have surpassed themselves. All their hard work has been rewarded and the excellent grades have resulted in an even larger number of students being accepted on to their first choice of university.

"A significant number of our students will be going to Russell Group universities including four students who have secured a place at Oxbridge."
