The family of a Bracknell man who died in Essex on Saturday night have today paid tribute to him.
Keith King, 57, from Bracknell, was known as ‘Kingy’ by his friends and as ‘Roast Beef’ by his family.
In a statement his family said: "Keith was a family man through and through. He was a devoted husband, supportive dad and a loving granddad to seven beautiful children.
"He was a caring son who thought the world of his mum and dad. He would visit his mum having Friday night bearing fish and chips and had a shared delight in horseracing with his dad. They both liked to have a flutter on any horse with a ‘King’ connection. He was a brother, an uncle and a loyal mate.”
Keith was a hard working painter and decorator who had many passions in life including supporting Crystal Palace, cycling and taking part in charity events – especially cycling ones. One of his daily pleasures was to walk his faithful companion Bramble, a golden Labrador, who he described as his ‘over-sized lap dog’.
The family added: "He was a generous, loving and committed family man who was adored by everybody who knew him. He always looked forward to spending time with family and friends.”
