A DRUG dealer who was "involved in preying on, exploiting and coercing vulnerable people" has been jailed for four years for possession of class A drugs.

Reece Pond, 25, of Wilson Gardens, Harrow, admitted one count of possessing crack cocaine, with intent to supply and one of possessing heroin, also with intent to supply at Reading Crown Court on Monday (February 1).

On January 9, Thames Valley Police officers stopped a car in London Road in Bracknell.

Pond, the driver, fled the scene though the passenger stayed with the car.

Officers then ran after him and Pond was seen to hurl a package, which police later discovered.

They then found it contained 49 wraps of class A drugs.

He was arrested the same day and charged on January 10.

Det Con Alex Hillan from Bracknell Forest CID said: "Pond must understand the impact of his actions against vulnerable drug users. He was involved in preying on, exploiting and coercing vulnerable people both young and old in the Bracknell area.

"Pond is only 25 years old but will pay a significant price for his involvement in drug-dealing in Bracknell."
