BUS timetables across Bracknell are in for a shake-up which will see Forest Park served with a bus service for the first time since First Buses' withdrawal.

Providers Courtney Buses are changing the timetable for services including 171, 172, 156 and 108 from February 1.

The 156 will extend its route into Forest Park which was left without a bus when First Buses left Bracknell in the summer.

The 171 and 172, linking the town centre with Crown Wood, Birch Hill and Great Hollands will run more often and later into the evening.

The 194 route, linking Bracknell with The Meadows and Camberley, has seen new vehicles with free WiFi and USB charging points.

The route will be supplemented with a new X94 route directly along the A3095 during peak times.

Simon Fisher, Courtney's general manager, said: "We have worked hard to respond to the gaps remaining when First Buses withdrew their services, and had to quickly acquire new vehicles and re-time our own services.

"We hope that this significant revision will go a long way to giving bus passengers in Bracknell and improved and more reliable service which better meets their needs."

Along with these commercial services Courtney runs routes for Bracknell Forest Council, which will also see some revisions.

Most of these are timing changes but the 108 will run further into Jennett's Park and the 162 will have more frequent links to Winkfield.
