THE walkway linking Bracknell High Street with the town square will be closed from Monday as further construction work on the regeneration project kicks off.
Work to create a new town square as part of The Lexicon project will start on January 11, with the walkway to the side of Peacocks clothing store closed off to pedestrians.
Access to the library, Easthampstead House and the police station will be via the top of High Street and by turning left onto The Ring.
An alternative route, which is longer but flatter and suitable for prams and mobility scooters, is via The Ring underpasses which will be signposted.
The new town square space will be a green, landscaped area with outdoor terrace seating, benches, sculptural seats and cycle stands.
