A COLLISION between a cyclist and a car in Bracknell has left a man hospitalised.

Paramedics were called to Bagshot Road shortly before 10am to reports of a crash.

A member of staff at a near-by leisure centre said they saw the flashing lights as the emergency services raced to the scene.

When the crews from South Central Ambulance Service arrived, it became clear that a male cyclist had suffered injuries to his leg and his face, and he was taken to Frimley Park hospital.

A similar incident happened along the same stretch of road in August when a 68-year-old cyclist died.

A spokesman for South Central Ambulance Service said: "We were called a 9.58am to reports of a collision between a male cyclist and a car. The patient was taken to Frimley Park Hospital with leg and facial injuries which are not life-threatening."
