A WOULD-BE robber punched a man in the face before leaving empty-handed.
On Sunday, October 25, a man and woman, both 23, were walking close to Bond Way when they were approached by a man at around 4pm.
He demanded they hand over their money and mobile phones but the couple refused. The frustrated criminal punched the man in the face before walking off in the direction of Market Street.
The offender is white, around 6ft 1in tall. He was wearing a balaclava, a light-coloured hooded top, dark blue denim jeans and dark trainers.
Anyone with information should contact police on 101.
