THERE'LL be no nodding off this Christmas as a Bracknell theatre puts on an enchanting performance of the classic tale Sleeping Beauty.

Produced by the same group behind last year's production of Aladdin, this year's pantomime at South Hill Park promises a 'magical' show for the audience both young and old as Prince Perceforest fights to save Princess Aurora from her 100-year slumber.

Complete with a classic dame played by director Julian Hirst the traditional pantomime will take to the stage from Sunday, November 29 with tickets available now.

A number of new songs will feature in the show courtesy of Ron McAllister, chief executive of South Hill Park Arts Centre and the show's composer.

He said: "I am full of anticipation for this year’s panto, brought to you by the same team who delighted audiences with Aladdin last year.

"Julian Hirst, our director and our dame, may surprise you with his interpretation of the Good Fairy in this year’s Sleeping Beauty. We also have some exciting new performers in lead roles too.

"As always, the set model for the show looks amazing and designer Victoria Spearing will magically transform the whole theatre into a toyshop this year.

"For my part, I have just finished writing some new songs for this year’s production and can’t wait to hear them brought to life by our talented team. I look forward to welcoming you to the Wilde Theatre this Christmas."

Running in the Wilde Theatre until Sunday, January 3 this year's production will have two slightly naughtier shows for strictly adults only following on from last year's successful nights.

The cast will ad-lib and relax during the adult only nights which will be held on Thursday, December 10 and Thursday, December 17 at 7pm.

Individual ticket prices start from £14.25.
