ONLY one motorist's claim for compensation from the council for damage caused to their cars by potholes has been successful in the past three years.
Bracknell Forest Council didn't pay a penny to drivers who made a claim for compensation in 2014/15 despite receiving twice as many claims than the year before.
The figures, revealed through Freedom of Information Requests put in by the RAC Foundation, show there were 32 claims put to the council in 2014/15 - a 50 per cent increase on the previous financial year were just 16 claims were made.
Out of those 16 only one claim was successful and cost the council a total of £232.
Bracknell Forest's non-existent pay outs are signifcantly lower than neighbouring boroughs.
Wokingham Borough Council paid out £5,023 in compensation to 10 drivers for damage caused by potholes in 2014/15 - an increase on the £2,185.96 paid out in 2013/14 despite there only being eight successful claims.
The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead also paid out more than Bracknell Forest with £740 paid out to four drivers in 2014/15.
