A HOMELESS man who was caught trying to swallow 144 wraps of heroin and cocaine has been handed a three year prison sentence.

Police were called to an address in Bracknell on July 9 earlier this year after receiving a fear for welfare call.

They crashed into the property where they found Yousef Dinif, 18, trying to swallow a package containing 144 wraps of class A drugs. He was arrested at the scene and charged later the same day.

At a hearing in Reading Crown Court on July 13 he pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs, heroin and cocaine.

On Friday, September 4, Dinif, of no fixed abode, was sentenced to three years in prison for both the offences with the sentences to run concurrently.

Marc Boyd, from Bracknell Local CID, said: “Thames Valley Police will not tolerate anyone wanting to sell class A drugs which can make life a misery for local residents.  In this case police acted quickly and decisively to secure Dinif’s arrest and subsequent conviction.”
