The attack happened at about 6pm on Sunday at a home in Swancote Green, Easthampstead, before the man, in his 30s, was taken by ambulance to Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading.
He was discharged in the early hours of Monday morning.
After shooting the victim, they both ran off in the direction of South Lynn Crescent.
A 28-year-old man and a 63-year-old man from Frimley, Surrey, have today (Friday) been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. They are currently in custody.
Investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Jonathan Groenen, from Force CID Maidenhead, said: “I would reiterate that we do not believe this was a random attack and I would like to thank the local community for their support and patience during this on-going investigation.”
