The rowing squads at LVS Ascot excelled at the British Rowing Indoor Championships with many of the students smashing their own personal bests at the Lee Valley Velopark in London last month.

The school entered teams in every category from Year 7 to sixth form, continuing their successful record at a competition near Canary Wharf last November. Tom Wilkinson, head of rowing at LVS Ascot, said: “I am really proud of the team and their performances at the championships.

“They put in so much effort throughout the year and to post so many personal best scores at a big event like this is testimony to their professional team ethic and all the work we do. We are already looking forward to returning to the event next year.” The teams also had the chance to rub shoulders with Olympic gold medallists Pete Reed and Alex Gregory, who are also current world champions.
