The £8.06milliom Superfast Berkshire scheme to bring broadband to houses in areas that fall outside those targeted by private providers has now connected a further 720 homes across the two villages to fibre broadband. It is hoped 91 per cent of all homes across Berkshire will have an improved internet connection by the end of this year. Cllr David Burbage, leader of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, said: “This is a significant step forward for many homes in the borough that may have previously been hampered by poor internet access.

“Superfast broadband is a vital tool for business and commerce and I am pleased that these properties that previously did not have it now do; the overall benefits for local businesses and residents are enormous.” For a map showing the extended broadband across the borough, visit www.superfastberkshire.org.uk
