Hundreds of people went to Cheapside CofE Primary School’s event on Sunday May 15 where youngsters could ride ponies and have a go at carnival games.
If the humid weather was too much for them, they could cool off in the school’s swimming pool, which was open for visitors to use. Visitors could browse a range of traditional fete stalls selling a variety of items including crafts, food and jewellery.
There were also stalls running a bottle tombola and raffle.
The money raised from the event, ran by the parents and teachers association, has not been finalised but cash will go towards general school funds.
