Getting into the spirit of alternative therapies

The Mind And Body Fayre featured alternative therapies, an astrologist, reflexologist and even a palm reader to help people delve into the unknown and mysterious.
Visitors could also get advice on their nutrition and diet, and learn about different prayers and prophecies at Cordes Hall in Kings Road on Saturday, October 12.
About 50 people visited the event throughout the day, helping raise £175 for Bowel Cancer UK.
Organiser Michelle Sandys hopes to return in the spring after such a successful day.
She said: “I was a little apprehensive because as far as I know Sunninghill hasn’t had an event like this before. I wasn’t sure if anyone would be interested but we had a good mix of people support us throughout the day.
“There was a great reception and we were kept busy throughout the day so I was delighted as it was first time in Berkshire, not just Sunninghill!
“Our stallholders had a super day. All of them had customers and said they’d be more than happy to repeat the fayre again, so I’m hoping to perhaps organise another in spring next year.
“I even had people telling me on the way out how much of a good day they had and how they would be looking forward to it again.”
