Village to get post office again

THE Post Office has confirmed it is to reopen a new-look branch in Sunningdale.

The new-look open plan office, will be open for seven days a week, in the Food Fare store on Chobham Road, Sunningdale - 50 metres away from its former site.

The Sunningdale branch was based on London Road, Sunningdale, until its temporary closure in April 2012 because of the resignation of the subpostmaster.

Its official opening date is yet to be announced.

The new branch will be open 36 extra hours than the previous post office, including include Saturday afternoon, all day Sunday and earlier opening hours and later closing times every day.

The new opening hours will be Mondays to Saturdays, between 6am to 6pm and on Sunday from 7am to 5pm.

Post Office regional network manager for South and East England, Mark Lawrence, said: "We are confident that this new modern post office service will meet the needs of the local community and secure services for the future."
