School holiday disruption expected by Ascot road closures

DRIVERS travelling through Ascot are expected to face disruption until the end of the month with the closure of Swinley Road and Priory Road.
The B3017 Swinley Road, from its junction with the A329 London Road to its junction with A332 Kings Ride will be closed between Monday, February 18, and Friday, February 22 and diversions in place via the A332 King's Ride and the A329 London Road.
The B3017 Priory Road between its junctions with the A329 London Road and Long Hill Road / Locks Ride will also be closed and traffic diverted via the A329 London Road and Long Hill Road.
A spokeswoman for Bracknell Forest Council said the roads were being closed for improvements - including changing the traffic signal controller and updating pedestrian facilities - and although they had a maximum duration of four weeks, work was expected to be finished by February 22.
