STRONG winds caused a tree to fall over in Winkfield last night (Thursday) closing a road overnight.

Dangerous branches were also cut down before they fell into the road in Bracknell.

Tree surgeons from Bracknell Forest Council are clearing a tree from Winkfield Lane after it fell into the road at 7pm last night.

The council closed the road over night because the tree was too big to move in the dark and are expecting to open it again soon.

Yesterday tree surgeons also cut down an overhanging branch in Binfield Road, Priestwood at 2.30pm that may have fallen into the road due to the strong winds.

They also cut back branches in Terrace Road North, Binfield after overhanging branches became damaged.

It is also reported a small tree was down across the pavement leading to Firlands off the Bagshot Road from the leisure centre yesterday evening.
