Woman and baby rescued

POLICE have arrested a man in connection with a crash in London Road, Ascot, - which saw a Land Rover plough into a house. A woman, in her late 40s, and a three-week-old baby were rescued from the house by firefighters but were unhurt.

They were taken to hospital as a precaution after the crash at 7.45am today (Thursday).

A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving under the influence of alcohol at about 10.40am. He is still in custody.
