Sophie calls for more support for disabled people

PARALYMPIC gold medalist Sophie Christiansen is working with the government to improve prospects for young disabled people after they leave school.

The triple gold medal dressage rider and former pupil of Charters School in Sunningdale, is part of a focus group organised by the Department of Work and Pensions, which is looking at ways to improve care once people leave school or university.

Miss Christiansen, 24, who has cerebral palsy, said more one-to-one care is needed.
