Wave of burglaries
IRREPLACEABLE fishing equipment and golf clubs have been stolen in a spate of burglaries that swept across the area last week.
Thieves forced their way into five sheds and garages in Sunningdale and targeted another five in Sunninghill, between the evening of Wednesday, January 4 and Saturday, January 7.
Police believe the incidents are linked and in all but one of the break-ins the buildings were locked.
Sergeant Colin Pike of the Ascot, Sunninghill and Sunningdale policing area, urges people to contact the police if they see any suspicious activity and added: "Without a doubt these offences are linked."
Sgt Pike recommends that people should install shed alarms to deter thieves. For advice, contact Ascot Police Station on 101. Call the police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 with any information.
