A POLICE officer based at Camberley has been dismissed following a misconduct hearing.
Police Sergeant Matt Taylor, 30, had been charged with coercive control in September last year, however that criminal case was discontinued at court earlier last week.
A fast track conduct hearing by Surrey Police took place on Wednesday, May 23 at which Mr Taylor was found to have a case to answer for gross misconduct as, by breaching the conditions of his court bail in March this year, he had fallen short of the expected standard of behaviour and discredited the police service and undermined confidence in it.
