ACID poured on a keypad was one of three crimes in Sunninghill reported to police over the last few days.

Between 9.45am on Thursday and 10am the next day, someone approached the front of exclusive gated community Beechcroft Close, where ten of the 14 homes sold since 2014 fetched £1million or more.

They poured a corrosive substance over the keypad to the electric gates and ripped out its wiring, leaving the gates dysfunctional.

The motivation of the person who poured the acid is not clear.

At 9am today (Monday) a car was entered and searched on Victoria Road.

A rucksack containing Rayban Wayfarer sunglasses, binoculars, a head torch and a golf club were stolen.

Earlier on at 3.45am a man inside a Greyfriars Drive property looked out of his house to see a man peering into his car.

The homeowner went outside to investigate to find his keys discarded on a neighbour's drive along with a torch.

The car had been left unlocked with the keys inside.
