MARTHA Collison, the youngest ever Great British Bake Off contestant, has released her second recipe book.

The Ascot baker was just 17 when she entered the Bake Off tent in 2014 and remembers how "it was quite a stressful juggle of: 'Should I be revising for my chemistry exam, or baking more donuts?'"

Now 20, Crave is her second recipe collection, following on from 2016's Twist.

Bracknell News:

The book is packed with delectable treats, split into different time brackets, so you can select a bake that's achievable in the time you have to spare.

Martha said: "The food in Crave is not food that you make every day, it's just for when you have that pang, and you really feel like something cheesy.

"It's not a recurring thing - it's not like every day I feel like cheese and Marmite sausage rolls.

Bracknell News:

"Eating should be about making yourself and those around you happy. I don't think food shouldn't be associated with guilt. You have to be responsible, but I also think food should be fun - it should be about sharing and bringing joy.

"In those moments when you just want something [to nibble], there's more satisfaction to be found than just opening a packet - you're rewarded for your craving a lot more when you spend the time making it yourself."
