THIEVES are continuing to target a music shop in Sunningdale only months after £130,000 worth of accordions were stolen.

The Piano and Accordion Shop in London Road has been targeted on three occasions since August last year, with the perpetrators yet to be caught.

Between 4pm on Sunday, August 7 and 9.40am the next day hundreds of thousands worth of accordions were snatched from the store.

At around 2.10am on January 30 this year offenders tried to gain entry to the store again but failed and nothing was taken, police said.

But on Saturday, February 4 offenders broke in by removing a window frame, damaging the shutters in the process and made off with around £20,000 worth of accordions.

The Lovell family have been running the store for generations after Bev Lovell's grandfather set up the business in 1927. Bev set up the Sunningdale branch in 1993 with her son, Chris.

They previously told the News they thought the thieves 'knew exactly' what they were doing as they knew which accordions were the most expensive.

“I am appealing to the men pictured in these images or anyone who knows them to contact Thames Valley Police immediately,” said investigating officer, Andrew Corbett.

“We believe the man in the black T-shirt holding a white bag might have links to Port Talbot in South Wales, therefore I would encourage communities in that area to share our appeal.

“If you know these men or have any other information about the burglaries and attempted burglary please call us.”

Anyone with information should call 101.
