Man hands himself in to police following sexual assault on train to Ascot
A MAN has come forward following a media appeal in connection with a sexual assault on a train to Ascot.
Officers are investigating a report a woman was assaulted on the 4.24pm service out of Reading on January 3.
On February 2, a 28-year-old went into Reading police station after a CCTV image of a man detectives wanted to speak to was circulated to the public.
He was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and has been released on police bail, pending further inquiries.
British Transport Police detectives have shared their thanks to all who shared the appeal.
