<p class="x_MsoNormal"><span>The Charles Square car park escalators have been closed to the public. </span> <p class="x_MsoNormal"><span>The Charles Square car park escalators have been closed to the public. </span> <p class="x_MsoNormal"><span>The escalators near The Grange Hotel were closed today (Friday) as part of the regeneration programme. </span> <p class="x_MsoNormal"><span>Customers to The Grange can still access it via the staircase on the east side of Stanley Walk and people using Charles Square car park can use the ramp and stairs to the rear of Barclays Bank to access the town centre. </span> <p class="x_MsoNormal"><span>However visitors with prams or those less mobile are advised to use the High Street or Princess Square car park.</span> <p class="x_MsoNormal"><span>The new Charles Square area is due to open in Spring 2017 alongside the new shops, restaurants, cinema and car park in the northern retail area.</span>
