Sara Davison was awarded the coveted ‘Specialist Coach of the Year’ at a glittering awards ceremony in London at the end of March.

She was selected from a shortlist with 11 other well known coaches for her work creating unique programmes to support people going through the tricky process of breaking up and said she was ‘over the moon’ even to be shortlisted, let alone win.

Ms Davison said: “I am thrilled and honoured to have been shortlisted for this award, but to receive national recognition from such an esteemed panel of judges for my coaching programme and work is just phenomenal.

“I had a dream four years ago to be helping others cope better with divorce, and now it’s a reality. This award means the world to me because it has put divorce coaching well and truly on the map and I am excited about taking my programme to many more people across the UK. I am over the moon!” The judges, all members of the coaching world’s professional body, the Association of Professional Coaches, Trainers and Consultants, selected Ms Davison because of her knowledge and expertise as well as her ‘honest and authentic’ approach.

Jo Galloway, head of customer happiness at the APCTC, said: “The competition in the category was high and Sara was a well deserved winner.

“It’s clear that what she offers clients is honest and authentic.

“We look forward to hearing more from her in the future.” The APCTC Awards are held in London every year.

They set the standard for the industry and celebrate best practice within the coaching community.
