The plan to build a 'surge' class room at Winkfield St Mary's CE Primary school was due to be decided at a meeting of Bracknell Forest's planning committee this evening, but has been withdrawn from the agenda.
The school say they want more time to consult on the plan, which had been recommended for approval but came into opposition from a number of parents.
Janette Karklins, director of children, young people and learning, said: "Given the local interest, the application has been withdrawn from the 1 April meeting of the planning committee to allow Winkfield St Mary CE Primary School more time to consult and put forward its views and ideas for the proposed surge classroom and new parking areas. The plans will then be considered at a later date."
