The Lexicon shopping centre was filled with people fitting in those last few Christmas gifts for family members and friends.

Many shoppers were in a hurry with just a few hours to go before the big day.

But a couple of people stopped for a chat on who they were buying for today.

One mum said she was in town because her children wanted to buy presents for each other.

"We would have done it earlier this year but unfortuntaely my husband has been isolating so we're just getting round to it now," she said.

Commenting on whether she normally leaves Christmas shopping to the last minute, she said: "I don't usually leave it this late and everything else is done and dusted so it's just getting the kids to the shops to pick something for each other."

Bracknell News:

A couple, who were taking a quick break from the shops to enjoy eating a German hot dog, explained they were just finding a present for their daughters boyfriend.

The husband, who wished to remain anonymous, said: "This is the last present we have to get and that's literally it.

"Of course we just need to get a few little bits like some food and cheese."

Speaking to the Bracknell News, the couple added they are normally very organised with their Christmas shopping.

"We usually start shopping a few months beforehand so that we can do it in stages and miss the Christmas rush," they said.

Their plans for the big day tomorrow was to spend it with their family.

They said: "We've got all the family coming over which is going to be interesting because we haven't done it in a couple of years.

"It could either way really, it could be great or it could be absolutely awful."
