RESIDENTS from Wokingham have been planning their meals for the week after a local registered nutritionist helped them pick recipes from books.

A workshop held at the library on Denmark Street, Wokingham gave residents the opportunity to receive some nutrition advice from a local expert.

Joanne Hart, a registered nutritionist who lives in the market town held a Healthy Menu Planning workshop on Wednesday, January 9.

Joanne, registered nutritionist said: “Many of us know the benefits of planning our meals but are overwhelmed by the amount of nutritional information."

Residents who attended the sessions made the most of the libraries facilities by searching through cookbooks that can be borrowed.

Joanne added: “The group helped each other by sharing their favourite recipes and new ones, and they left with a plan for the week.”

Joanne helped the attendees to pick out new recipes that they could incorporate into their weekly meal plans.

Joanna said: “I felt excited to be sharing my love of looking through cooking books and trying new recipes.

“I was delighted that after some guidance from me the group were able to help each other with new ideas.

“Some of the older members were helping people with cooking tips. which was great to see.”
