TWO witnesses who may have seen a woman being assaulted by a man in Camberley are being sought by police.

At around 11.40pm on Saturday, September 8, Surrey Police officers were called to York Road following reports that a woman had been hit by a man.

They believe that two other women may have been walking along the road when the assault took place.

Investigating Officer Emily Welch said: “We are keen to identify two women who are believed to have witnessed this attack.

“The women are believed to be between the ages of 17 and 25, and may have walked down York Road when the attack took place.

“The victim has suffered injuries consistent of Actual Bodily Harm (ABH), so we are keen to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the incident.”
