A BRAND new primary school at a development in Binfield took a step closer to reality last week.
Bellway Homes hosted a ground-breaking ceremony for the King's Academy at Amen Corner on Wednesday, September 5, where the Mayor of Bracknell Forest, Cllr Alvin Finch, officially marked the start of building works for the new school.
Greg Allsop, Head of Sales, Bellway Homes said: “It is exciting to see the plans for Kings Academy Amen Corner primary school finally starting to transition from a concept towards reality. The new school will benefit both the families destined to live in Amen Corner as well as those in the nearby vicinity.
Cllr Gareth Barnard, Bracknell Forest Council's executive member for children, young people and learning, said: “Amen Corner primary school will provide places for primary aged children in a modern and interactive environment, giving them the best possible start to life. I’m looking forward to watching the progress as we head towards 2019.”
