THE STUDENT leadership team at a Bracknell school has been announced for the new academic year.

Four students from Garth Hill College have been elected as Head and Deputy Head Boy and Girl for 2018/19 after writing a letter of application, canvassing fellow students, and presenting their manifesto before staff and pupils.

The new team for the academic year have been announced as Frankie Pugh (Head Boy), Caitlin Rentell (Head Girl), Adam light (Deputy Head Boy) and Jamie Lee Wilson-Barber (Deputy Head Girl).

Other students who stood for election have been appointed to the Senior Team of the College.

Principal Keith Grainger said: "My congratulations to all the students who stood for election and worked so hard on their letters and presentations. It was a strong field which represented the breadth of talent and skills at the College.

“All of the Senior Team will play key roles as leaders both within the College and in the events we organise for the wider community. They will be fantastic ambassadors for all of us at Garth Hill and I wish them every success.”
