THE devastated family of a motorcyclist who died in a crash in Bracknell on Saturday have paid tribute to him.

Father-of-one Shaun Holmes, 42, died after his motorcycle collided with a lamppost on the A3095 Mill Lane at 5.10pm on Saturday (18).

His family said in a statement that Mr Holmes was a 'devoted family man' and loved nothing more than going out on his motorcycle with his friends and son.

They also thanked those who tried to save his life on Saturday afternoon.

The statement said: "He has left behind his wife Liz and son Bradley.

“Shaun was a devoted family man and his family was his world. He was an amazing husband and father and everything he did was for them.

“He was Liz’s soul-mate and best friend.

“Shaun was an HGV driver with a passion for motorcycles, and loved nothing more than going out with his friends and son.

“He was a man with a big heart and loved a joke and socialising with his friends.

“The void in our lives that he leaves behind will never be filled.

“We would like to thank everyone that attended the scene of the collision and their tireless efforts to save him.”
