A PARISH council will be helping to stamp out litter bugs as part of an international day of action.
Binfield Parish Council is encouraging all residents to take part in World Clean Up Day on Saturday, September 15 by joining in with a local litter pick.
Around 16 million people in 113 countries have joined the LetsDoItWorld campaign to clean up illegally dumped waste, and the residents of Binfield will be among them.
Volunteers will be handing out litter pickers and rubbish bags to participants at Knox Green Corner, opposite the Binfield Club, between 10am and 12pm. Participants can help litter pick on that day, or over the whole weekend if they so choose.
Organisers will also be giving out tips of where the best areas for litter picking up, and advice on how to dispose of collected litter.
