A 93-year-old man has died following a two-car collision in Virginia Water yesterday (Saturday).
At around 12.15pm, a Honda Jazz and a Skoda collided in Christchurch Road, near the junction with Trumps Green Road and Station Approach.
The road was closed in both directions while emergency services, including ambulance and fire crews attended the scene.
A 93-year-old man was taken to St Peter's Hospital in Chertsey, but has sadly passed away.
The road re-opened at around 3.30pm once both cars had safely been recovered.
A spokesman for Surrey Police said: "If you witnessed the collision, or you have any information which could assist our enquiries, please call us on 101, quoting PR/P18199139."
