STUDENTS across Bracknell Forest has achieved better grades in their A-Level results than the national average.

A huge 99 per cent of students passed their exams, compared with the national pass rate of 97.6 per cent.

A brilliant 53 per cent of papers achieved a grade of A8 to B, while the number of young people sitting Level 3 qualifications, including BTEC courses, increased from previous years.

many of the 491 young people who received their results today will go on to higher or further education, apprenticeships or employment later this year.

Nikki Edwards, director of children, young people and learning at Bracknell Forest Council said: "Congratulations to all those young people who have worked so hard to achieve these results. Thanks are also due to the enthusiasm, conscientiousness and commitment of their teachers.”

Councillor Gareth Barnard, executive member for children, young people and learning, said: β€œIt is encouraging to see that students in Bracknell Forest have done so well this year. With results like this, they will be well prepared for whichever path they want to go down in their future careers.”
