A PLAN to manage and improve countryside rights of way has been published.
Bracknell Forest Council (BFC) has detailed its Rights of Way Improvement Plan, which sets out how the council will work with partners to manage and promote the local network of footpaths, bridleways and byways over the next 10 years.
Cllr Iain McCracken, BFC's executive member for culture, resources and public protection, said: “Rights of Way are an important part of our heritage; they provide opportunities for recreation, sustainable travel and help to boost tourism and the local economy.
"Our goal is to work with local groups, such as the Local Countryside Access Forum, to maintain and further enhance the excellent network we already have in Bracknell Forest so that people of all ages and abilities are able to explore and enjoy the borough by foot, bicycle, horse, scooter and wheelchair.”
