FAMILIES living in a new development in Warfield came together for the first community barbecue.

Residents of Woodhurst Park, including residents from the senior living accommodation also on the development, gathered together on Saturday, July 21 to enjoy live music, games and activities and get to know their neighbours.

Lisa Jarvis, 35, who is part of the resident events committee, said: "Our summer barbecue on Saturday was a fantastic local event that everyone really enjoyed. There was great music playing, food was provided and obviously the weather was superb. We must thank Berkeley Homes for supporting an event of this nature which everyone from young to old was able to enjoy. It is a great way to bring everyone together, make new friends and give everyone a real sense of the fantastic new community here."

Matthew Brazier, Sales and Marketing Director at Berkeley Homes who supported the event said: “Community events such as this are so important for new residents who move to the area and help them feel at home.

"We are delighted to regularly support the Residents Event Committee at Woodhurst Park with their various activities throughout the year. They do a great job and really help in making neighbours feel welcome and part of the community. We hope to support more events like this in the future.”
