THIS is a man police want to speak to after a brawl broke out following England's World Cup semi-final defeat against Croatia.

Shortly after 9.45pm a round of drinks were thrown over a group of men.

The group retaliated by throwing drinks back and the two sets of men began to fight.

Staff tried to intervene and a man who was being restrained tried to punch the person holding him when he struck another man in the face.

The victim suffered damage to his teeth but he was discharged from hospital. He needs further treatment.

A police spokesman said: "The incident took place around 9.45pm on Tuesday, July 5, at the Station Tap public house on Station Road.

"An altercation started during the England versus Croatia football match after drinks were thrown over a group of people during the game. The group then retaliated by throwing drinks over the first group. The two groups were separated after they began to fight.

"A man who was being restrained went to punch the person holding him, but struck another man in the face during the altercation."

Officers believe the man pictured might have vital information about the case.

Police constable Wasim Akram added: "I am keen to speak to the man in this CCTV image, as he may have information which is vital to our investigation.
