RACEGOERS have begun to descend on Royal Ascot as the first day of the iconic horse racing event prepares to get underway.
Colourful dresses, fancy hats and dapper suits can all be seen in the High Street as punters look forward to a day of sipping champagne and thrilling races.
A heavy police presence is already in place after a recent event at the venue descended into chaos.
