BOHUNT SCHOOL had a special guest to officially open the new facilities.

Professor Robert Winston attended to officially re-open the school on Friday May 11, after the school moved into its new state-of-the-art site this year.

He was given a tour of the school by the head boy and head girl, before giving a speech to year seven and eight students about the importance of science.

The school, located on Sheerlands Road, Arborfield, has recently opened up new facilities, including indoor climbing and bouldering wall, dance and activities studios, floodlit tennis and netball courts and an athletics track.

Ben Godber, Headteacher at Bohunt School, said: “It has been incredible to be part of the journey at Bohunt Wokingham from the very beginning to see this vision come to life. Rarely do schools and young people get opportunities like this to start from scratch with new facilities and a blank canvas on which to evolve.

“The project has been a significant investment for the Borough council and the Bohunt Education Trust is delighted to be shaping the future of the new school and the new community that is growing around us."
