THE CAR park in The Lexicon was closed due to a welfare incident involving two men, police have confirmed.
On Wednesday (May 2), the Lexicon car park was closed, with surrounding roads also blocked off.
Bracknell Forest Council stated in a tweet that the car park was being closed off due to an incident, before confirming to The News that this was a police incident.
The tweet read: "High Street car park is currently closed due to an incident. Town centre visitors should use an alternative car park: bracknell-forest.gov.uk/roads-parking-… We'll provide a further update when the car park re-opens. Thank you for your patience in the mean time."
The car park re-opened 20 minutes later after police dealt with the matter.
A Thames Valley Police spokesman confirmed that they had blocked off the roads, and that all was back to normal.
The spokesman said: "This was a fear for welfare incident for two men, but this has now been resolved and the road closures have now been taken off."
